About Sergio Harris
A native Texan, I was born in Houston and attended school right here in North Texas from elementary through high school in Arlington.
After graduating from high school, I joined the U.S. Army where I served for eight years as combat medic. After honoring my commitment to the U.S. Army and serving my country, I graduated from Texas Woman’s University, with a degree in history and a minor in education.
Currently, I work as a licensed teacher in the Irving Independent School District at the high school level, where I have taught for the last 11 years.
I’m a proud father of two, my family and I have been residents of Grapevine since 2012. My two children are current students in the district at the elementary level. My loving wife is an active member of the Silver Lake PTA serving in a variety of roles.
With a passion for our community, I actively serve on the Silver Lake Elementary School campus when my schedule allows and support my wife in the numerous roles in which she serves.
I am also a member of the Metroport Teen Court Advisory board for Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake and Keller.
